Validation Tables Overview

Validation tables are used to store and maintain items which are used throughout OHS, such as Location Types, Incident Types, OHS Roles and Plant & Equipment Types. It is recommended that you populate the validation tables as much as possible before you start using the OHS functions.

After the initial implementation of the tables is complete, some Validation Tables allow new entries at the point of data entry. For example, the company may have a pre-defined list of Hazard Types which are set up in the Hazard Type Validation Table. When you add a new hazard you can use these pre-defined Hazard Types. However you may need to create a new Hazard Type if the existing entries are not appropriate. The Hazards window allows you to create a new Hazard Type entry, and this new entry is added to the Validation Table automatically.
